The Heliocentric Solar System
The Elizabethan time saw a huge shift in the way people looked up at the sky. Copernicus wrote that suddenly the earth was no longer the center of the universe, and suddenly the earth went around the sun, rather than the other way around. Huge leaps in mathematics meant that people were understanding the world in whole new ways.
