"Not Even Remotely Tudor...Lame" T-shirt. Profits go to the Children's Literacy Initiative
Okay, so here's the story. Today, in amongst lots of positive feedback, I got a negative comment on my ad for the Tudor Planner saying that, other than the cover, it was "not even remotely Tudor. Lame." At one point in the not-so-distant past a comment like that from a stranger would have really stopped me. I would have felt stupid, and like I shouldn't even have been trying. Like, who did I even think I was, anyway? Which is silly, because a) it's factually an incorrect comment, and b) why on earth would I let a stranger stop me from doing what I love to do?
So to celebrate not giving a damn about what strangers think, and encouraging full self expression of all of our artistic endeavors and creativity, I made this shirt. I'm giving all profits to the Children's Literacy Initiative, which works to close the gap in literacy achievement for disadvantaged children.
The shirt features the modern London skyline - which, you know, isn't even remotely Tudor - even Tower Bridge :) - and the quote from the comment. Wear it with pride. Because you will know that you're wearing a shirt that is not even remotely Tudor. It's not a Tudor font. It's not Tudor colors. There is absolutely nothing Tudor about this shirt, except for the fact that it has the logo of my show on the back. Other than that, it's totally not Tudor. So don't expect a Tudor shirt. It's not. And while it says it's "lame," that's irony. It's not lame. It's actually super cool.
And it supports literacy, so, you know, yay.
